THE STUDIO
Callidus Guild was founded by fine artist Yolande Batteau as a means of scaling up her personal art practice to offer Art for Architecture: wall coverings and treatments for the most elevated and accomplished architects and designers on the planet.
In the early years, we produced papers in studio apartments, in basements and cramped shared spaces. Since our humble beginnings we have expanded not only in our studio space, but in our network of artisans. We work with our finely trained artists in the studio as well as with specialists from all over the world to research, design and produce our wallcoverings.
In contrast to our international connectedness, our wallpaper and panels have always been produced by hand in New York City. Our resident and rotating teams of artists and specialists are acutely trained and talented. Their superiority is echoed in the quality of our product offering.
